Recombinant human transforming growth factor-α

LONG TGF-α is an analog of human TGF-α. It comprises the human TGF-α amino acid sequence plus a 14 amino acid N-terminal extension peptide. The recombinant growth factor can be used as a supplement for serum-free or low serum cell culture. LONG TGF-α has applications in fibroblast and epithelial cell culture, it also has higher affinity for avian Erb-1 receptors than native EGF, thus is a highly effective growth factor for vaccine production in avian cells. LONG TGF-α has shown synergistic effects with LONG EGF in keratinocyte growth and differentiation that are specific to the extension peptide. Synergistic effects with LONG R3IGF-I have been observed in various other cell lines.
