REBEL XT analyzer is used for rapid at-line analysis of cell culture media components including 19 amino acids, 2 dipeptides, and choline. Amino acids are critical for cellular metabolism and are often present in media used for expansion of mammalian, microbial, and insect cell lines such as CHO, HEK 293, E. coli, Sf9, Sf21, T cells, and stem cells.

REBEL XT helps advance cell therapy process development with on-demand analysis of cell culture media, right at the bench. REBEL XT allows you unprecedented insight into variations in amino acid and nutrient concentrations as your cells grow.

REBEL XT accepts both septa-capped vials and 96-well plates (two 96-well plates are provided with each REBEL XT kit). The samples and standards are kept at 5 °C inside the REBEL XT’s autosampler and there are plate covers included in the kits to prevent evaporation. Once your samples are loaded, you can either manually enter your sample information using the REBEL XT’s touchscreen or import the information using the pre-filled Batch Runsheet Template file.

Analysis reports are saved in either CSV or PDF file formats to REBEL XT’s internal memory or user-specified location on the network. We highly recommend exporting the analysis results/reports to a network location to ensure data integrity and prevent loss of data from overwriting when internal device memory gets full.

The media sample volume is typically between 10-100 uL depending on the sample container (2ml autosampler vials or 96 well plates).  Please note that a minimum 10x sample dilution is required.

If a PQ has already been run, it would take 10 minutes for a single sample run and 4 minutes for subsequent replicates.

Yes, REBEL XT is 21 CFR part 11 complaint. REBEL XT records and timestamps all the critical system events (i.e., user logins/logouts, password changes, system modifications, completion of assays, maintenance, and performance qualifications). The audit log files are automatically exported to the system’s configured network location. Secondary policies/procedures should be implemented to ensure the integrity of the audit log files once they have been exported to a location on your network.

You can place and run the REBEL XT on a sturdy cart but please make sure that the cart can support REBEL XT’s weight and footprint.
